Zero Phono Reference – a silver cable

Today we release a significant update for our Zero Phone Reference cable.

By using recent achievements from our tone arm cable development, we have succeeded to reduce the load capacitance and at the same time move from copper to a high purity solid core silver conductor. The result is a 24 pF/m capacitance cable (including low cap RCA connectors).

Very low cable capacitance together with Zero technology and high purity silver takes the transparency of sound, its openness and the level of natural details even a step further.

This update means that all our interconnect cables in the Reference series now use high purity solid core silver.

Den helt nya och högtalarkabeln med Zero-teknologi och en extremt låg induktans kommer att visas tillsammans med ett flertal intressanta produkter ur Momentum- och Reference-serierna. New generation Power Cords

In-depth listening tests have revealed that the power cable impedance is one of the most important parameters to get the best possible audio quality from playback systems. This is the motivation for why we today release a new second generation of power cords with very low inductance. To achieve this we re-used geometrical design concepts from our Zero² Speaker Reference cable.

A significant web-site update

I changed the previous Document Menu to a Download Section where I will gather all downloadable´s. This now integrates much better this the rest of the site. There is a review field where you can comment on any of our downloads. This is a way to give us your feedback for us to improve or complement the information and knowledge that we want share to the community.

Speaker Cable Break-in

Vi är många som vet hur stor skillnad det kan vara mellan en kabel som är ny jämfört med efter en tids användning. Skillnaderna i ljudet mellan en ny och en inspelad kabel blir större ju mer mikrodetaljer i musiken som vår utrustning kan återge.

Inspelning av kablar är ett av alla väl debatterade områden där det finns många olika åsikter. Jag har sammanställt en kort teoretisk förklaring till fenomenet tillsammans med en enkel guide för hur man med hög effektivitet och på god teoretisk grund kan spela in en högtalarkabel. Samma princip gäller även för signalkablar och kondensatorer.

Det är förstås en metod som jag använder själv.
