On 17–18 October, Regal is at Amused by Tech in Gothenburg, in Lounge Virgo at Clarion Hotel Karlatornet. This is where we premiere The Revelation, our new open baffle loudspeaker with horn. It is the first time it will be shown and played in public.
The Revelation started in a quarry in north-eastern Skåne. The baffle is cut from Swedish diabase, a dense black stone formed close to a billion years ago. Its rough-hewn edges are a nod to the stone itself and to Kullaro in Lönsboda, who we work with on the stone. The baffle hangs freely in an easel-inspired stand of solid oak, and both baffle and horn can be tilted steplessly to suit the room. It is easy to drive and is especially happy with musical amplifiers, tubes included. Built by hand, at most two pairs per year.
The complete system:
- Regal The Revelation, premiering at the event
- Technics SL-1200GR turntable with DS Audio W3 optical cartridge
- Lumin U2X streamer (thanks Marcus @ Perfect Sense)
- Regal INT250 integrated amplifier with built-in EQ for DS Audio optical cartridges
- Regal DAC101 and power distributor
- Regal Signature power and speaker cables, plus Signature One tonearm cable and Signature One XLR
Welcome to Lounge Virgo.
Anders Hansson, Regal
